3 Powerball Tickets Sold In Wisconsin Win $50K; Jackpot Reaches $900M

WISCONSIN — Three winning Powerball tickets sold over the weekend in Wisconsin were just shy of winning the game's $900 million jackpot, according to Wisconsin Lottery.

Instead, all three tickets matched four of five numbers, 2-9-43-55-57, but not the Powerball, 18. Each is worth $50,000, and could be worth double that with a power play 2x, Wisconsin Lottery said in a news release.

It has been 37 drawings since the Powerball jackpot was won, according to the Wisconsin Lottery. The winning tickets sold over the weekend in Wisconsin were purchased at the Piggly Wiggly at 1414 East Geneva Street in Delavan, the Kwik Trip at 2807 River Valley Road in Waukesha, and the Cenex Convenience Store at 1080 West River Street In Chippewa Falls.

"Big winning tickets have been common in 2023 for the Delavan Piggly Wiggly," said Wisconsin Lottery. "In addition to the recent Powerball winner, the Wisconsin Lottery retailer has sold a winning $10,000 lotto ticket and a $54,000 instant scratch game winner this year."

In Wisconsin, ticket sales for Powerball cut off at 9 p.m. before the day of a drawing. Drawings are at 9:59 p.m. each Monday, Wednesday and Saturday. The odds of winning the $50,000 prize are 1 in 913,130, the Wisconsin Lottery said, while the odds of winning the Powerball jackpot are 1 in 292,201,338.
