With locations across Wisconsin, national weight loss company Jenny Craig reportedly told employees plans to focus more on e-commerce.

WISCONSIN — Weight loss company Jenny Craig, with six locations in Wisconsin, reportedly told employees it plans to close its doors, according to internal documents obtained by NBC News.
Late Tuesday the company emailed workers saying it would close "due to its inability to secure additional financing," according to the NBC report. Salaried corporate and field employees were expected to have their last day on Friday with hourly workers' last day was Tuesday, the outlet reported.
The weight loss company earlier warned of possible mass layoffs and told employees it was transitioning to a more e-commerce-focused model, according to a report by television outlet WPVI in Philadelphia.

Wisconsin's Jenny Craig locations include:
- Marshfield.
- Green Bay.
- Appleton.
- Madison.
- Brookfield.
The California-based company has around 500 company-owned and franchised locations across the U.S. The program looks to give people structure and support when they lose weight and teaches them how to keep it off.

The program includes meals, snacks and desserts plus individual coaching. The first location was opened in 1983 by Jenny Craig and her late husband Sid.
