License Plates Honoring Ice Age Trail Debut In Wisconsin
Wisconsin's new license plates honor the state's 1,200-mile Ice Age Trail and include an illustration of a mastodon.

WISCONSIN — The latest custom license plates to become available in Wisconsin feature an illustration of an ice-age beast and will benefit the state's most extensive hiking trail.
The DMV on Monday announced the Ice Age Trail license plates which are available through a yearly $25 tax-deductible contribution to the Ice Age Trail Alliance. The alliance supports Wisconsin's 1,200-mile trail that tours the geographic features left in Wisconsin from the last ice age.
The full-color plates feature a mastodon, a beast from the ice age known for its massive size and tusks. Besides the $25 fee, a one-time $15 fee is required for the plate and customized plates may require $15 more.
