Bridge Lane Ravine Footbridge Comes Down Thursday
The long-discussed bridge will be collapsed Thursday morning.

More than 2½ years after the Bridge Lane Ravine Footbridge was closed in Fox Point, it will come down Thursday.
A statement from Scott Brandmeier, the village’s director of public works, on Wednesday said the long-discussed bridge will be collapsed sometime during the morning on Thursday.
Residents may watch, but not from Bridge Lane or in the ravine. A spectator area is available west of the fenced area along Bridge Lane.

Footbridge Friends are trying to raise money to replace the bridge, but in the meantime the Village Board determined the existing bridge was enough of a hazard that it needed to come down.
Removing the debris from the collapse is expected to take about two weeks.
