Glendale Hosting 2018 Root Beer Bash

GLENDALE, WI — Glendale is home to the Sprecher Brewing Company, and will be hosting its second-annual Root Beer Bash. Billed as a festival for everyone, this free festival welcomes root beer enthusiasts of all ages to the Richard E. Maslowski Park on August 25.

Attendees have the chance to participate in the Root Beer Olympics, and dine on root beer-themed foods served by local restaurants, vendors, games, celebrity visits, crafts, a race car, mascots, a “boogie-down” kids dance party, and live music by Boomer Nation.

The Brick Pub and Grill, Silver Spring House Restaurant, Dr. Dawg, Sprecher’s, and Noodles and Company will prepare special creations. Proceeds from food sales will help support St. Francis Children’s Center School.

The festival starts in the early morning with Glendale’s “Stomp out Crime” Race/Walk for the police K-9 fundraiser. The race begins at 9:30 a.m. and is followed by a Kid’s Dash at 9:45 a.m. After the race/walk, the Root Beer Bash begins brewing at 11:00 a.m.

The Silver Spring House Restaurant will present a check to the Glendale Police Department at noon for the
purchase of a new Canine Police Car. Randy Sprecher will be on-hand to meet the guests at noon. Kid’s carnival games run from 11 a.m. to 3:30 p.m. A Kid’s Boogie-Down Dance Party will be held from 1 p.m. to 3 p.m.

The Root Beer Olympics for Adults start at 3:30 p.m. Boomer Nation will perform live from 4 p.m to 7 p.m.
