"At this point we do not have all the details, but we do know that the severity of Quentin's sadness while he was not in the family unit was greater and deeper than ever imagined," the GoFundMe page states. "On Sunday, Nov. 12, Quentin took his own life, lost in his pain. The family continues to dig into why a smart, loving, generous 14-year-old that hardly began to live, would find something so painful to take his own life."

Fleig stated that Espinosa was a well-liked student among peers and teachers. He said that there was no evidence of his death being related to bullying, but is requesting that people send any social media posts to him in the event they are related to cyberbullying, according to the Journal Sentinel report.
