Green Bay Seeks Submissions Of Artwork For Bus Shelters

Original artwork selected for the project will be printed on vinyl and attached to select bus shelters.

From the City of Green Bay: The Green Bay Public Arts Commission is working with Green Bay Metro to select artwork to be installed on select bus shelters throughout Green Bay.

Until July 21, 2019 the Green Bay Public Arts Commission will be collecting submissions for the new bus shelter artwork project. Original artwork selected for the project will be printed on vinyl and attached to select bus shelters. This is the first year of the project in Green Bay, but it is inspired by similar programs in Milwaukee, Wisconsin and Madison, Wisconsin.

The project is open to artists of all ages. Artists may submit up to 10 designs, the designs must be the original work of the entrant. Final selected artists will receive $200 for their design.

There are a few guidelines:

  • Green Bay Metro and the Green Bay Public Arts Commission are looking for artwork that is high quality, engaging, positive, and reflects concepts of Green Bay, community, Wisconsin, unity, and positivity.
  • Preference will be given to artwork focusing on diversity and cultures within our community.

To submit designs, email all submission materials to laurasc@greenbaywi.gov by midnight July 21, 2019. The final selections will be announced later in July. For technical assistance please reach out to the Public Arts Coordinator.
