Green Bay man arrested after threatening to ‘shoot up' local bank (wtaq.com) — Police in Green Bay arrested a 27-year-old man Tuesday after he allegedly made a phone threat about shooting up a bank in a nearby community. SWAT and crisis negotiators responded to a Western Avenue residence, nearby schools took precautionary lockdown steps, and the suspect was taken into custody without injuries as charges are prepared for the district attorney.

Green Bay Common Council approves contract for first responder drones (wbay.com) — Green Bay’s Common Council has approved a $1.3 million, five-year contract for first-responder drones and expanded license-plate surveillance, pending a final data-security review. City leaders and residents are weighing faster police response and officer safety against privacy concerns and a $170,000 annual cost increase that will eventually move into the operating budget.

Evers announces $9.3 million in AmeriCorps funding; Green Bay, Fox Valley groups included (fox11online.com) — Green Bay is getting a boost from new AmeriCorps funding, with 39 members assigned to conservation work and public engagement in local parks and outdoor spaces. Their projects will tackle habitat restoration, invasive species, trail work, and community garden improvements, as part of a $9.3 million statewide investment announced by Gov. Evers.
