The future of Green Bay is looking bright, thanks to the incredible young people working to strengthen our community. In partnership with T-Mobile, Patch is proud to spotlight future leaders like Amber Hubbard, who are making a positive impact in and around Green Bay.

Amber, a student at the University of Wisconsin-Green Bay, was named the 2024-2025 Newman Civic Fellow in recognition of her outstanding leadership and commitment to civic engagement. The Newman Civic Fellowship honors students who have demonstrated a strong dedication to addressing community challenges and creating positive change. Amber, a Social Work major with a focus on Child Welfare, is passionate about combating homelessness and advocates for preventive measures to help eliminate this epidemic. Through this fellowship, she plans to further develop her advocacy and professional skills to make a lasting impact in the field of social work.

In addition to her academic achievements, Amber has actively contributed to her campus and community through several initiatives, including founding the Social Work Association to promote student engagement in community service. She has also participated in the Emerging Leaders Experience Retreat and the Civic Scholar Program. Amber expressed deep gratitude for the support she has received from faculty and staff at UW-Green Bay and is excited to continue her journey as a Newman Civic Fellow, working toward solutions that will benefit both her school and the community.
