GREENDALE, WI — Registration has opened for the Greendale Middle School "Clean and Green Day." The event is meant to help older adults out with chores around the house and in the garden, according to a flier posted to the school district's Facebook page.

To reach as many older adults as possible with the event, Greendale Middle School 7th graders and their students will be spending about 30 minutes at each home, the Facebook post says. Some suggested activities include cleaning up debris from the winter, planting bulbs, hanging a picture, putting up screens and sweeping a walk.

Those who request help on the day are expected to provide the supplies and must be home during the labor, according to the event flier. The event is planned to take place on June 3, 12:45-2:45 p.m.
