Friday Marks Season Opener For Whitnall Park Beer Garden

After an off-season full of construction, the work is complete and the Whitnall Park Beer Garden is kicking off its 2023 season.

GREENDALE, WI — After renovations and improvements cut last year's season short, the Whitnall Park Beer Garden is kicking off its 2023 season on Friday, May 5, with a keg tapping and ribbon cutting at 5 p.m.

Located at 8831 North Root River Parkway, the beer garden is one of many around Milwaukee County offering seasonal drinks, eats and fun. The recent renovations include a reconstructed segment of the parkway, an ADA-accessible parking lot, plus new LED lighting, according to a news release from County Supervisor Kathleen Vincent. Vincent is set to attend Friday's ribbon cutting to declare the area as open.

The garden features 24 craft beers from several local breweries plus live music. It's open seven days a week from 4-9 p.m. on weekdays and 11 a.m.-9 p.m. on Saturdays, Sundays and holidays.
