• Former Foster Child Becomes WI Youth Advisory Council Leader (urbanmilwaukee.com) — Wisconsin’s Youth Advisory Council, which includes an annual advocacy trip to Madison to meet legislators, has a new vice president focused on improving life for foster youth. Milwaukee resident Angel Shelton is pushing for better transportation, more engaged social workers, stronger foster parent training, and expanded mental health support, while also planning public outreach like TikTok videos and mental health panels.

• Madison Christians gather at Capitol to protest violence against transgender people (wmtv15news.com) — On Sunday, queer- and trans-affirming Christians gathered at the Wisconsin State Capitol in downtown Madison for a march and sung prayer service opposing violence against transgender people. Organizers framed the event, held around Capitol Square and inside the Rotunda, as a faith-based response to religious rhetoric in national debates over gender-affirming care and pledged more such actions ahead.

• Madison-Rafah Sister City Project's Annual olive tree planting campaign; make a donation today (wibailoutpeople.org) — A Madison-based volunteer group is asking local residents to help close a small fundraising gap so they can sponsor 400 olive trees for Palestinian farmers through the Madison–Masafer Yatta Grove. Donations, including gift dedications, support replanting trees destroyed in West Bank violence, with contributions accepted online or by mail to the Madison-Rafah Sister City Project.
