Rain, Possible Thunderstorm Expected In Milwaukee Friday

Milwaukee is expected to see rainy conditions and a possible thunderstorm as other parts of the state brace for heavy snowfall.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Southeast Wisconsin will see rain and a possible thunderstorm on Friday as forecasters say thunder is possible on Saturday morning.

Showers will hit the Milwaukee area after 4 p.m. on Friday, and the high temperature will be in the low 40s. There's a 90 percent chance of precipitation, and forecasters said that rain between a tenth and a quarter of an inch is possible.

Showers with a possibility of a thunderstorm will hit the Milwaukee area before 2 a.m. on Saturday, increasing rainfall amounts between half to three quarters of an inch.

Rain and snow showers are likely to follow before 10 a.m. on Saturday, and forecasters said skies should clear in the afternoon. Snow accumulation of less than half an inch is possible.

Friday: Showers, mainly after 4 p.m. High near 42. East wind 5 to 15 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.

Friday Night: Showers and possibly a thunderstorm before 2 a.m., then a slight chance of showers between 2 a.m. and 3 a.m., then a chance of showers and thunderstorms after 3 a.m. Low around 35. East wind 5 to 15 mph becoming west after midnight. Chance of precipitation is 100 percent. New rainfall amounts between a half and three quarters of an inch possible.

Saturday: Rain and snow showers likely, mainly before 10 a.m. Cloudy, then gradual clearing during the afternoon, with a temperature falling to around 33 by 9 a.m. Windy, with a northwest wind 15 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60 percent. New snow accumulation of less than a half inch possible.

Saturday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 28. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday: Sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a southwest wind 10 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Sunday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 34. Southwest wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 25 mph.

Monday: Sunny, with a high near 46. Southwest wind 5 to 10 mph.

Monday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 34. Southeast wind around 5 mph.
