Prosecutors say they cannot link her to the larger fire, which federal investigators are still probing to determine its cause. Neighbors and families remain without clear answers months after the Mother’s Day tragedy.
   

2. ‘We're still struggling': Milwaukee mom seeks help after historic flooding as Christmas approaches (tmj4.com) — Record-breaking summer flooding dumped over 14 inches of rain on northwest Milwaukee, and one northside mother is still struggling to replace beds, clothing, and basics for her five kids as Christmas nears. While experts call the storms unprecedented, she says FEMA aid hasn’t covered starting over and is turning to the Milwaukee community for donations and support.
   

3. Porch pirates strike Milwaukee southside neighborhoods, stealing holiday gifts (wisn.com) — Porch pirates are hitting southside Milwaukee neighborhoods just days before Christmas, stealing packages within minutes of delivery from homes near 37th and Lapham. Families like the Rodriguezes and Chavezes lost gifts meant for young children and say they’re more worried about the community impact than the presents, while Milwaukee police have yet to announce any investigative leads.
   

4. Mariah Antetokounmpo brings holiday joy to Milwaukee families with Fostering Community (wisn.com) — Milwaukee foster families are getting a big boost this season as Mariah Antetokounmpo hosts her fifth annual holiday celebration for 75 local families, partnering with the nonprofit Fostering Community. The event, held in Grafton but focused on Milwaukee kids, offers foster parents and children a chance to relax, connect, and enjoy gifts, support, and some much-needed holiday joy.
