11-Year-Old Killed, 5-Year-Old Hurt After Shooting In Milwaukee

MILWAUKEE, WI — An 11-year-old girl was shot and killed and a 5-year-old girl was injured in a double shooting in Milwaukee Saturday.

The 11-year-old victim died of her injuries after being taken to a hospital, Milwaukee police said. The 5-year-old girl had non-fatal injuries and is in stable condition.

The girls were in a car with family at around 9 p.m. in the Sherman Park neighborhood when another car pulled next to them and opened fire, police said.

The family drove both victims to Milwaukee Police District 7, where officers performed first aid until the Milwaukee Fire Department arrived, police said.

No suspects have been identified and the shooting is still being investigated, police said.
