Shooting That Killed 16-Year-Old Girl Related To Business Robbery: Milwaukee Police

A 16-year-old girl was pronounced dead at a local hospital after being shot at a business that was being robbed.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A 16-year-old girl died in a local hospital after being shot in Milwaukee on Sunday, the Milwaukee Police Department said.

The teen was shot in the 5100 block of West Capitol Avenue about 10:25 p.m., police said in a statement. The girl was severely injured at the scene and was pronounced dead after being rushed to a local hospital, police added.

The shooting happened while a business was being robbed, and the shooter was not known, police said. The Milwaukee Police Department is investigating.
