Woman Killed, 14-Year-Old Hurt By Gunfire: Milwaukee Police

A 19-year-old woman was killed and a 14-year-old boy injured by gunfire in a string of shootings across Milwaukee, police said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Two people, including a 19-year-old woman, were fatally shot and two more, including a 14-year-old boy, were injured by gunfire in multiple shootings across Milwaukee on Monday, the Milwaukee Police Department announced.

A 19-year-old woman was fatally shot on the 5800 block of N. 32nd Street on Monday, police said in a statement. The cause of the shooting was unexplained, but police said it happened around 2:35 a.m.

Around 3.5 miles away, near N. 44th Street and W. Capitol Drive, officers found a 31-year-old man dead in a car with fatal gunshot wounds, police said. Police said the shooting happened around 6:45 p.m.

Meanwhile, a 14-year-old boy had to be rushed to a Milwaukee hospital after suffering gunshot wounds near N. 67th Street and W. Keefe Avenue, police said. His injuries weren't fatal, and police said they didn't know who fired several shots at him.

Someone also shot and injured a 27-year-old Milwaukee woman near N. 35th Street and W. Atkinson Avenue on Monday, police said. The woman was taken to the hospital with injuries that were not life-threatening.

Police are still piecing together what happened in each shooting, and no suspects have been identified.
