MILWAUKEE, WI — The Blue Angels will not be seen over the skies of Milwaukee this summer after organizers of the 2020 Milwaukee Air and Water Show canceled this year's event.

Organizers said this year's show, which would have been held July 25-26, was canceled due to ongoing concerns over the spread of COVID-19.

“Given the amount of uncertainty surrounding COVID-19, we recognize that cancelling the 2020 Milwaukee Air & Water Show is the responsible and necessary thing to do,” said WaterStone Bank President/CEO Doug Gordon in a statement on Friday.“We can keep our communities safe and healthy by supporting local public health efforts. We look forward to seeing everyone at the Milwaukee Air & Water Show in 2021.”
