2021 Christmas Forecast: What Weather To Expect In Southeast WI

MILWAUKEE, WI — Heading over the hills and through the woods this Christmas? Before the holidays arrive in Wisconsin, know what Mother Nature has in store for your travel plans or celebrations.

Will we see snowflakes or clear skies this weekend? If you were looking for a white Christmas, you might be disappointed to find slight drizzle and above average temperatures Friday.

If you’re staying in town on Christmas Eve, there will be a chance of drizzle mainly afternoon. Skies are expected to be cloudy and winds will blow between 5 and 10 mph.

By Christmas Day, conditions in the Milwaukee area will switch to a slight chance of rain and snow after noon. Cloudy skies with a high of 38 are expected.

This weekend’s forecast may not bode well for holiday events happening in southeast Wisconsin, as clouds, rain and slight snow are scattered across the rest of this week's forecast.

Friday: A chance of drizzle, mainly after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 45. South wind 5 to 10 mph.

Friday Night: A 20 percent chance of rain after midnight. Patchy fog. Otherwise, mostly cloudy, with a low around 35. Southwest wind around 5 mph becoming north after midnight.

Christmas Day: A chance of rain before 5 p.m., then a slight chance of rain and snow. Mostly cloudy, with a high near 41. North wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 40 percent.

Saturday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 27. Northwest wind around 5 mph.

Sunday: A slight chance of rain and snow after noon. Increasing clouds, with a high near 38. Northwest wind 5 to 15 mph becoming east in the afternoon. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Sunday Night: Rain and snow. Low around 33. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New precipitation amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.

Monday: A slight chance of rain and snow before 8 a.m., then a slight chance of rain between 8 a.m. and noon. Partly sunny, with a high near 41. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.

Monday Night: A 20 percent chance of snow after midnight. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 30.
