MILWAUKEE — The Milwaukee area should get between 3 to 6 inches of snow Thursday, just before Christmas, according to the latest forecast.

"Accumulating snowfall is likely Thursday morning through Thursday evening, with impacts to both the morning and evening commute possible," the National Weather Service said.

"Those with travel plans should pay close attention to the forecast between now and Thursday. Accumulating snow may continue into Thursday night and Friday morning for areas near Lake Michigan, especially east-central Wisconsin."
