3 Killed, 6 Injured In Separate Shootings In Milwaukee: Report

Three people were killed and six were injured in two separate shootings in Milwaukee.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Three people were killed and six were injured in separate shootings in Milwaukee Thursday.

Two men in their 30s and a 19-year-old woman died of gunshot wounds and a 19-year-old man is in critical condition after a shooting near 8th and Cherry Street around 9:30 p.m., FOX6 reported.

Four others were found shot after a separate shooting near the 2400 block of N. 37th Street at around 8 p.m., TMJ4 reported. All four people were taken to a local hospital.

A 20-year-old man arrived at a local hospital with injuries after the shooting, Milwaukee police inspector Paul Formolo said at a news briefing, a video of which was shared by TMJ4. Police believe the 20-year-old man was involved in the shooting.

A police officer responding to a property damage report encountered an armed man, exchanging gunfire at the location, Formolo said. The armed man fled afterward and no police officers were injured.

Police haven't arrested or identified any suspects, but one gun was recovered near N. 37th Street, police said.

Police say they don't know if the officer's gunfire struck anyone. The officer who fired his weapon was placed on administrative leave, Formolo said.

The Oak Creek Police Department is investigating the shooting at N. 37th Street.
