9-Year-Old Boy Shot, Killed In Milwaukee, 2 In Custody: Police
The shooting took place near a strip mall and police have a 16-year-old boy and a 42-year-old man in custody pending review by the D.A.
MILWAUKEE, WI — A 16-year-old boy and 42-year-old are in custody after a 9-year-old boy was shot and killed near a Milwaukee shopping center Monday night, police said.
Police responded to a strip mall near 76th Street and Mill Road around 8:45 p.m., police said. The boy who was shot was pronounced dead at the scene.
Police did not provide further details but said that charges are pending in the case following a review of the incident by the Milwaukee County District Attorney’s Office.

According to media reports, this is the fourth shooting involving a child in the past week in Milwaukee. All previous three victims were under the age of 5.
