Amid windchills, forecasters are tracking the chances of a blizzard causing significant travel hazards across WI Thursday into the weekend.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Light snow may continue in parts of southeast Wisconsin into Tuesday morning, giving way to below-zero windchills and the possibility of heavy snowfall ahead of the holiday weekend, according to the National Weather Service.
Wind chills between 0 and -10 are expected Tuesday night into the following morning. By Thursday, the wind chill temps could range from -10 to -25 and linger into the weekend, the NWS said.

The risk of significant travel impacts from winds, blowing snow and accumulating snow is increasing, the NWS said. Still in question is snowfall amounts, duration and how widespread blizzard conditions could be, the agency said in a tweet. Further, if the surface low is further west, more rain may mix in across southern Wisconsin, the NWS said.
