Broken Window In Chase Building Causes Milwaukee Street Closure
Police warned people to stay away from part of Wisconsin Avenue after a window broke from high winds in Milwaukee's downtown.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee police are warning people to stay away from E. Wisconsin Avenue outside of Chase Tower after high winds broke a window.
Police blocked off the 100 block of E. Wisconsin Avenue after wind broke a window in the 15th story of the Chase Tower, creating the risk of falling glass.
The window broke around 12:36 p.m., Urban Milwaukee reported. Wind gusts up to 50 mph are expected in Milwaukee, forecasters from the National Weather Service said.

The city works department shut down all the sidewalks around the building and people were asked to avoid Water Street between E. Michigan Avenue and E. Wisconsin Avenue, police said.
