Growing Chances For Thunderstorms, Showers In Milwaukee Area
A slight chance for a thunderstorm is in for Milwaukee and that chance is expected to increase over time, forecasters said.
MILWAUKEE, WI — Chances of thunderstorms and rain are in store for the Milwaukee area Tuesday night, forecasters from the National Weather Service said. The risk of harsh and wet weather is expected to grow on Wednesday as unstable weather approaches from the west.
A hazardous weather outlook was issued for a slight chance of a thunderstorm across south central Wisconsin late Tuesday. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms is expected in Milwaukee after 9 p.m., a daily forecast showed.
Wednesday will have the greatest chance of strong to severe thunderstorms, forecasters said in a Facebook post. Severe weather on Wednesday will depend on how much potential there is for thunderstorm activity after occurring west of Madison on Tuesday night.

Thunderstorms and showers will be a possibility in Milwaukee after 4 p.m. on Wednesday, forecasters said. There's a 90 percent chance of precipitation and rainfall between a quarter and half an inch are possible.

Increasing clouds, with a high near 52. Southeast wind 10 to 15 mph. A 20 percent chance of showers and thunderstorms after 9 p.m. Cloudy, with a temperature rising to around 58 by 5 a.m. Breezy, with a south wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.
Wednesday
A chance of showers and thunderstorms, then showers and possibly a thunderstorm after 4 p.m. High near 62. Breezy, with a south wind 10 to 20 mph. Chance of precipitation is 90 percent. New rainfall amounts between a quarter and half of an inch possible.
Rain and possibly a thunderstorm before 1 a.m., then a slight chance of rain and thunderstorms between 1 a.m. and 4 a.m., then a slight chance of rain after 4 a.m. Low around 37. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 80 percent. New rainfall amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.

Mostly sunny, with a high near 45. Windy, with a southwest wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 40 mph.
Mostly clear, with a low around 34. Breezy, with a southwest wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

A slight chance of rain and snow before 9 a.m., then a slight chance of rain. Mostly sunny, with a high near 44. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
