High Winds Up To 70 MPH Possible In Southeast WI Wednesday
Showers and high gusts of wind reaching up to 70 mph are possible late Wednesday night for parts of southeast Wisconsin.
MILWAUKEE, WI — High winds up to 70 mph are expected in southeast Wisconsin on Wednesday, as the National Weather Service issued a high wind warning for Wednesday night and Thursday morning in southern and central Wisconsin.
A high wind advisory was issued for Milwaukee, Waukesha, Ozaukee and Racine counties and will be in effect from 9 p.m. Wednesday to 9 a.m. Thursday. Damaging winds can down trees, cause power outages and make traveling on the road more difficult.
The wind advisory is also in place for Fond du Lac, Sheboygan, Dodge, Washington and Jefferson counties.

High winds up to 70 mph are expected late Wednesday afternoon in parts of southeast Wisconsin, and forecasters say the Milwaukee area could see winds up to 50 mph Wednesday night.
There's a 30 percent chance of showers at 9 a.m. on Wednesday in the Milwaukee area and forecasters say it's likely winds reaching up to 35 mph will linger through most of the day. The high temperature is expected to be be 63.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected before 1 a.m. Thursday, and forecasters say it's likely that winds will reach up to 55 mph after midnight. The chance of precipitation is 70 percent with rainfall amounts of less than tenth of an inch, and higher amounts of rainfall are possible with thunderstorms.
Thursday will be cooler with the high temperature at 37 degrees and winds settling down to 20-25 mph in the Milwaukee area. However, forecasters say gusts could still reach up to 45 mph.

Tonight: Showers and thunderstorms likely, mainly before 1 a.m. Cloudy during the early evening, then gradual clearing, with a low around 39. Very windy, with a south wind 15 to 25 mph increasing to 25 to 35 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 55 mph. Chance of precipitation is 70 percent. New rainfall amounts of less than a tenth of an inch, except higher amounts possible in thunderstorms.
Thursday: Sunny, with a temperature falling to around 37 by 11 a.m. Windy, with a west wind 20 to 25 mph, with gusts as high as 45 mph.
Thursday Night: Mostly clear, with a low around 26. Breezy, with a west wind 15 to 20 mph decreasing to 5 to 10 mph after midnight. Winds could gust as high as 30 mph.
Friday: Partly sunny, with a high near 37. Northwest wind 5 to 10 mph becoming northeast in the afternoon.
Friday Night: A slight chance of snow between 7 p.m. and 1 a.m. Mostly cloudy, with a low around 27. Northeast wind 5 to 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 20 percent.
Saturday: Mostly cloudy, with a high near 33. Northwest wind 10 to 15 mph.
