Homage To Milwaukee's Arts And Culture In 414 Day Video

Video of Milwaukee's skyline, landmarks and people ignited hope and illustrated all of its residents equally, the director said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A coalition of artists and civic leaders dropped a video showcasing 414 Day with sights of Milwaukee's popular landmarks and figures.

The video, put together by Imagine MKE, shows off Milwaukee's popular landmarks, figures and events: Summerfest, the Sherman Phoenix, the Bucks parade after their 2021 championship win, Milwaukee Mayor Cavalier Johnson and County Executive David Crowley were all featured. Over the video, state poet laureate Dasha Kelly Hamilton recites her poem "Fire Light."

"I believe the video exists at the intersection of arts and culture in Milwaukee, it ignites hope and illustrates all people of Milwaukee equally," director Samer Ghani told Patch.

The video celebrates creativity that lights up Milwaukee, Imagine MKE said in a statement. "Championships won, fresh coats of paint laid, new music and movement and flavors made."
