Job Fair Set For This Week In Milwaukee

The City of Milwaukee Office of Workforce Development will be holding north side and northwest side Drive-Thru Job Fairs on Wednesday.

MILWAUKEE,WI— The City of Milwaukee Office of Workforce Development will be holding north side and northwest side Drive-Thru Job Fairs on Wednesday for Milwaukee jobseekers looking for immediate employment opportunities, according to a media release from the city.

The events take place on from noon until 4 p.m.

The job fair events are supported by Common Council members Ashanti Hamilton (1st District), President Cavalier Johnson (2nd District), Nikiya Dodd (5th District) and Chantia Lewis (9th District) as a way to bring immediate job opportunities to residents where they live and in a manner that is safe during the coronavirus pandemic.

All attendees will receive a no contact bag packed with information on employment assistance programs and employers hiring right now, and the events will feature employers from manufacturing, office, health care, retail, transportation/logistics and much more.

The eventt is co-sponsored by Northwest Side CDC Milwaukee LISC, Direct Connect MKE (DCMKE) Employ Milwaukee, We Care Crew, Leader Paper Products, Milwaukee County Parks and CDBG Milwaukee.
