Light Snow Before -15 Wind Chill: WI Weather

MILWAUKEE — Milwaukee area residents can expect light snow accumulation Tuesday evening before temperatures plunge below zero, with wind chills reaching 15 degrees below zero, according to the latest forecast.

"Mostly cloudy and colder today followed by areas of light snow on Wednesday," the National Weather Service said.

"An arctic front will pass on Wednesday with brisk west northwest winds plunging the temperatures and wind chills to very cold levels for Wednesday night and Thursday morning."

Wednesday: A 40 percent chance of snow, mainly after noon. Mostly cloudy, with a temperature rising to near 27 by noon, then falling to around 18 during the remainder of the day. West wind 10 to 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Wednesday Night: Partly cloudy, with a low around 3. Wind chill values between -5 and -15. West wind around 15 mph, with gusts as high as 30 mph.

Thursday: Sunny, with a high near 15. West wind 10 to 15 mph.

Thursday Night: Mostly cloudy, with a low around 8. West wind around 5 mph becoming calm in the evening.

Friday: A 30 percent chance of snow after noon. Cloudy, with a high near 33. Light east wind increasing to 5 to 10 mph in the morning.

Friday Night: Rain and snow likely, mainly after midnight. Cloudy, with a low around 28. East wind around 10 mph. Chance of precipitation is 60%. New precipitation amounts between a tenth and quarter of an inch possible.
