Man Fatally Shot On Highway 145 In Milwaukee County: Sheriff

MILWAUKEE, WI — A man was fatally shot on State Highway 145 in Milwaukee near the 76th Street off-ramp Wednesday, according to the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office.

Authorities believe a shot fired from another vehicle fatally hit the man, but another woman inside the vehicle was not injured, according to the sheriff's office.

Amid an investigation, the sheriff's office said it was diverting southbound traffic off the highway at 107th Street.

The sheriff's office did not immediately say what led up to the fatal shooting or a motive.

The highway in question threads northwest from downtown across Milwaukee County until it intersects with Interstate 41 near Menomonee Falls.
