Man Found Shot On Interstate 43 Ramp In Milwaukee: Reports

The Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office closed Interstate 43 southbound Monday evening as they investigated a shooting, reports said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Authorities Monday evening found a man who was shot several times near the Interstate 43 southbound off-ramp to Lapham Boulevard, according to a report by The Milwaukee Journal Sentinel.

The incident happened just before 8 p.m., the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office told news outlets. The 24-year-old man who was shot was brought to a hospital by the Milwaukee Fire Department, TMJ4 reported.

A spokesperson for the sheriff's office told the Journal Sentinel the injured man was conscious and breathing during the transport.

The sheriff's office told news outlets it was searching for a suspect vehicle but did not immediately provide a description. Several lanes were closed on Interstate 43 as authorities investigated the shooting, according to reports.
