Man Shot In Fight Near Layton Avenue And 5th Street: Police

MILWAUKEE, WI — A man was shot during a fight on West Layton Avenue near 5th Street Thursday afternoon in the far south side of Milwaukee, according to police.

A 30-year-old from Milwaukee suffered non-fatal injuries in the encounter and was brought to a hospital, the Milwaukee Police Department said in a statement.

It happened around 12:08 p.m., police said. Police said they are still looking for the shooter.
