Milwaukee Bucks Assistant Griffin Mourns Death Of 2-Year-Old Grandson
Jayce Griffin died of natural causes, according to an Illinois coroner after the young boy was found unresponsive by his father on Saturday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Milwaukee Bucks assistant coach Adrian Griffin is mourning the loss of his 2-year-old grandson, whom officials in Illinois said died of natural causes over the weekend.
Jacye D. Griffin was found unresponsive by his father at the family’s home in Urbana, Ill., and was pronounced dead at 10:40 a.m. on Saturday, according to local officials. An autopsy conducted by Champaign County Coroner Duane Northrop showed no signs of foul play or trauma.
Northrop said in a statement that the young boy died of natural causes pending the final autopsy and further testing. The boy’s death remains under investigation and Northrop said no further information would be released.

“My grandson Jayce was very special to me and my family, and his passing is an agonizing tragedy that will be felt forever,” Griffin said in a statement released by the Bucks on Monday. “I appreciate your respecting our family’s grief and privacy at this time.”
