Milwaukee Child Dies From Flu
The Milwaukee child's death is the first reported case of the 2016-2017 flu season according to the Milwaukee Health Department.

MILWAUKEE, WI — The City of Milwaukee Health Department has reported that a Milwaukee child has died as a result of the flu.
fox6now.com reports that locally, this is the first case of a flu death involving a child for the 2016-2017 flu season. According to the U.S. Centers for Disease Control and Prevention, 40 pediatric flu deaths have been reported for the current flu season nationally.
Statewide, the Wisconsin Department of Health Services has reported that the flu is taking a toll on Wisconsin this year with hundreds of hospitalizations and around 1,000 confirmed cases.
