Milwaukee County Buses Will Again Be Free On New Year's Eve 2022
Buses across Milwaukee County will be free and several busy lines will have extended hours for New Year's Eve 2022, officials said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Buses across Milwaukee County will be delivering free rides on New Year's Eve courtesy of Molson Coors to help people ring in the start of 2023 safely, according to a news release from the county's transit system.
Bus fare will be free from 8 p.m. until the end of service on Dec. 31, according to the Milwaukee County Transit System. Several routes will have extended hours that night until 4 a.m. including the GreenLine, BlueLine, PurpleLine, GoldLine and Routes 14, 18, 19 and 30, MCTS said.
“We’re thrilled to once again offer our Free Rides program on New Year’s Eve to help everyone ring in the new year safely,” said Tami Garrison, Molson Coors community affairs director. “Each year we’re reminded of the meaningful impact that stems from our Free Rides program and it motivates us to continue expanding this program.”

Molson Coors offers the free rides as an effort to promote alcohol responsibility, the release said. Nearly one million rides have been provided to residents around Milwaukee since the program began in the area in 1988, the release said.
