Johnson was direct and upfront about his siblings, as he had a brother who worked as a warden in a state prison and another brother who was an inmate in that same prison, city spokesperson Jeff Fleming told Patch.
"I have made no secret throughout the course of my campaign about the challenged neighborhoods that I grew up in," Johnson told CBS 58. He said other families faced challenges and his was no different.

Police officers from the Milwaukee Police Department responded to a shots fired report when they found a man shot in the neck, arm, leg and the back of his head, according to a criminal complaint from the Milwaukee County District Attorney's office.
After investigating, police found the victim's neighbor and the neighbor pointed out Addison's photo in a lineup, the complaint said. Addison is accused of driving a truck that pulled up next to the victim's car, where two people inside the truck opened fire.
