Pedestrian Fatally Struck On 27th Street Near Oklahoma: Police

A man suffered fatal injuries when he was hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning on 27th Street near Oklahoma Avenue, police said.

MILWAUKEE, WI — A pedestrian died after he was hit by a vehicle early Wednesday morning on South 27th Street near Oklahoma Avenue in Milwaukee, according to police.

The 48-year-old pedestrian from Milwaukee was hit by a vehicle around 5 a.m., Milwaukee police said in a news release. The 40-year-old driver was arrested and police said they plan on referring charges to the Milwaukee County District Attorney.

The pedestrian had suffered life-threatening injuries in the crash and was brought to a hospital where he died, police said.3
