Snowfall Could Mix With Rain In Milwaukee Area Friday Into Weekend

The National Weather Service forecast snow totals of up to 1 inch for much of Milwaukee County on Friday.

MILWAUKEE, WI — Snow is expected to accumulate Thursday night and into Friday morning across much of southeastern Wisconsin although lower totals are expected closer to the lake, according to the National Weather Service.

The greatest amounts will occur west from Beaver Dam to Madison and Mineral Point, where some freezing rain may also briefly mix in early Friday. Rain may mix in as well closer to the Illinois border, according to the National Weather Service Sullivan/Milwaukee. The snow could return again Monday night and may change to rain Tuesday, the NWS said.

For Milwaukee County, the snowfall could begin around 9 a.m. Friday with accumulation between 0-1 inches, the NWS forecast. The totals go up the further inland you go.
