Stolen Car Crashes Into Occupied Milwaukee Police Squad: Police

MILWAUKEE, WI — A stolen car ran a red light near 27th and Vliet Streets Tuesday afternoon and hit a Milwaukee police squad, causing minor injuries to the three officers on board, according to a news release from Milwaukee police.

The crash happened around 4:21 p.m. Both people inside the striking car ran away but were arrested after a short pursuit on foot, police said. The three officers inside the squad were brought to a hospital after the crash, police said.

Police said a 16-year-old boy was driving the vehicle, which was stolen. A 21-year-old man was also inside the car, according to police. Police said charges are expected in the coming days.
