MILWAUKEE, WI — A 17-year-old from Wauwatosa told police he "liked the adrenaline" after he was accused of robbing three people at gunpoint and taking their cars in Milwaukee, prosecutors said. The teen was charged with three counts of armed robbery and one count of fleeing from a police officer, court records showed.

Police said that the teen robbed three people and took their cars with a fake gun in Milwaukee on separate days in December 2021 and February 2022, and led Greenfield police on a five-mile chase before being arrested Feb. 27.

One victim said they were robbed by three teens near Milwaukee's Third Ward neighborhood, the criminal complaint said. A teen approached the man, pointed a "pistol" at his chest, and demanded his car keys before driving off in the man's Nissan Altima.

A second victim said he was approached by two teens while walking from a parking lot to a store near Southgate, the complaint said. The teens demanded his keys before hitting him in the head with an object. When the man turned around, he told police he saw one of the teens pointing a black handgun at him. He gave up the keys, and the two teens fled in his Infiniti sedan, police said.

A third victim was leaving a parking lot in Walker's Point when two youths pointed handguns at him, the complaint said. The man gave up his keys, wallet and phone after one of the teens said, "you don't want to die for this." The two teens walked around the parking lot and pressed the fob to get the victim's Jeep to beep before driving away in it, police said.

A Greenfield police officer saw the Jeep speeding at 50 mph in a 35 mph zone at S. 60th Street and W. Forest Home Avenue, before turning around and giving chase, according to the complaint. The Jeep led cops on a five-mile chase that reached speeds up to 102 mph before police punctured its tires with stop sticks in West Allis.

According to police, the passenger and driver got out and ran, but police arrested the 17-year-old driver.

The teen told police that he and his step-brother were walking around Walker's Point on Feb. 27 and were "looking for a car to steal," the criminal complaint said. The 17-year-old said he had a "fake Glock BB gun" and his step-brother had a real handgun, which they used to carjack the Jeep driver in Walker's point, according to police.

The teen told police he had committed the other two robberies with others and that he "liked the adrenaline," the complaint said.
