44 Packs Of Cigarettes, Cash Stolen From Speedway: Report

Police in Oak Creek say a man is responsible for stealing 44 packs of cigarettes in a broader theft scheme.

OAK CREEK, WI — Police in Oak Creek say a man is responsible for stealing 44 packs of cigarettes in a broader theft scheme.

According to Oak Creek police call logs, officers were sent to the Speedway gas station at 8667 S. Howell Ave. at just after 3 p.m. on Jan. 5 on a report of a theft.

Police call logs stated that a manager at Speedway called police, saying that a co-worker, identified as a 26-year-old South Milwaukee woman, walked out of the store, only to let a man walk in. He store 44 packs of cigarettes valued at $375.

According to police, the employee then walked back in, and stole $432 in lottery tickets and cash refunds.
