Biggby Coffee's First Location In Waukesha County Plans June Opening

WAUKESHA, WI — Coffee connoisseurs and drink lovers across Waukesha County will have a new spot to check out this summer when a Biggby Coffee location opens.

It'll be the first Biggby Coffee in Waukesha County, Brookfield resident and location owner Aaron Clarno told Patch in an interview. The spot is expected to open by June 20 at N20 W22951 Watertown Road with coffee, food, and other unique refreshments.

Part of the appeal of the shop is the wide variety of drinks appealing to all age groups, Clarno explained. From coffee, obviously, to espresso, iced drinks, Red Bull drinks, a house energy drink, and even strawberry boba.

"So there's something for everybody. We have hot chocolate, we have just regular blended drinks without caffeine," Clarno said. "I think that's a big part of it, it's really designed for every age group, not just mom and dad."

The spot will also offer food. An online menu reveals items like muffins, bagel sandwiches, cookies, donut holes and more.

Clarno, who is opening the new location alongside his wife Libby, said he was drawn to Biggby because it is based in the Midwest. Having a drive-thru was also a part of the draw, Clarno said, and another big part was the opportunity to grow the brand here.

"We're really looking forward to finding a way to integrate our company with the surrounding area, not just Brookfield," Clarno said. "And growing the brand. Biggby is pretty large, 360 locations. It's just not big in this area yet."

The decision to open the new Biggby also came when the Clarnos (Aaron hails from the Pacific Northwest while Libby is from Wisconsin) found sub-par coffee options here compared to the west coast.

"We kind of noticed there's not a lot of coffee options, especially with drive-thrus, in this particular part of the Milwaukee area," Clarno said. "We lived in a part of the world that had a ton of options for fast, good coffee, and we wanted to help grow that in the Waukesha area."

After the first Waukesha location, Clarno said plans could move forward for a few more locations around southeast Wisconsin.
