Waukesha Shelters Expand Amid Winter Demand (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha’s main homeless shelter on Sentry Drive is now operating year-round at or near capacity, after a major expansion added beds and a family room. Hebron Housing and partners, backed by city emergency housing funds, are coordinating warming options, street outreach, and winter shelter placements so unhoused residents can stay safe as temperatures drop. Local residents are encouraged to help with donations.
   

2. Interstate 94 study in Waukesha County moves forward (dailyreporter.com) — Plans to study widening and improving I‑94 through Waukesha County are officially moving ahead, with state transportation officials set to examine safety, congestion, and aging bridges along the busy corridor from the Zoo Interchange toward Oconomowoc. Local leaders point to multiple fatalities and deteriorating infrastructure as reasons for action, while a state commission’s unanimous vote now clears the way for a multi‑year review.
   

3. Waukesha South Triumphs Over Northstars 70-62 (gmtoday.com) — Waukesha hoops fans saw Waukesha South knock off rival Waukesha North 70-62 in a loud, packed North High School gym Friday night. Longtime teammates Jordan Garcia and Keegan Degeorge powered the Blackshirts with clutch scoring despite heavy foul trouble and a late Northstars surge, extending South’s recent dominance in this crosstown Woodland West rivalry.
