A train struck a car early Wednesday in Waukesha.

WAUKESHA, WI — A car was struck by a train Wednesday after the driver thought the rail tracks were a road, according to Waukesha Police Department Capt. Dan Baumann. No injuries were reported.
Officers were called to the tracks just before 1 a.m. near Broadway and Pleasant Street. The driver got out of the car after it became stuck on the tracks and the train then crashed into the vehicle, Baumann said.
The driver was trying to get to a business near the train tracks when he mistook them for a road, according to Baumann.
