Former WI Gov. Walker Tweets After MKE Flight Aborts Takeoff
A suspected bird strike was the cause of the incident.

MILWAUKEE,WI— Former Wisconsin Gov. Scott Walker's flight takeoff was aborted after a suspected bird strike on Tuesday morning. A General Mitchell International Airport spokesperson confirmed a Southwest flight headed to Orlando aborted takeoff at 8:20 a.m. The plane returned to the gate and passengers left safely.
Walker, a former Wauwatosa resident, tweeted a video of firemen on the tarmac while he was onboard.
Our plane hit a bunch of big birds just as we were starting to take off. They are sending us back to the gate after checking some hot brakes. Glad we were not in the air. pic.twitter.com/ds1vg74WQU
