Good Samaritan Alerts Officials To Fire In Waukesha

WAUKESHA, WI —A resident noticed flames from a window in the 700 block of East Broadway on Sunday night and jumped into action, the Waukesha Fire Department said.

Alex Garcia of Waukesha stopped to call 911 shortly before 8 p.m. and made sure no one was inside the home, the fire department said.

The fire spread to the basement, second floor and attic but was put out within 30 minutes, the fire department said.

The fire caused $90,000 in damage, the fire department said.
