Waukesha County Neurologist Sentenced In Child Pornography Case

WAUKESHA COUNTY, WI — A Waukesha County neurologist was sentenced in Wisconsin federal court on Thursday for one count of possession of child pornography.
U. S. District Judge J.P. Stadtmueller sentenced Sean Jochims, 51, of Pewaukee to four years in federal prison, followed by five years of supervised release, according to online court records and the Department of Justice.
Jochims pleaded guilty as part of a plea agreement in November.

An undercover FBI special agent accessed multiple public Kik messenger groups that appeared to have been created for individuals interested in child pornography, the Department of Justice said.
On May 28, 2020, the agent detected that Jochims shared a video of child pornography with members of the group, the Department of Justice said.

Authorities searched Jochims' residence and found Jochims accessed, and attempted to access, numerous files that contained child pornography, the Department of Justice said.
According to court records, at the time of his offense Jochims practiced as a neurologist in Waukesha County.
