Store Robbed At Gunpoint + Junk Cars + Car Thefts: Wauwatosa Police

Residents reported catalytic converters stolen and several car thefts in Wauwatosa, police logs from June 10 to Thursday showed.

WAUWATOSA, WI — A thief robbed a store at gunpoint, Wauwatosa residents reported stolen cars and catalytic converters, and police cited a man for having junked cars in his driveway in the latest round of police logs.

A thief robbed a store at gunpoint on the 600 block of N. Hawley Road on June 11, police logs showed. The thief was around 20-30 years old, 6 feet, 2 inches tall and weighed around 270 pounds.

Someone stole a Wauwatosa man's Hyundai Elantra in the 6700 block of W. Clarke Street on June 11, police logs showed. A thief took the car without the keys.

A group of thieves drove off with a Wauwatosa woman's Kia Seltos in the 2500 block of Mayfair Mall on June 11, police logs showed. The woman told police three teens broke the passenger side window and got inside before driving away.

Someone stole a Hyundai Sonata in the 3200 block of N. Mayfair Road on June 14, police logs showed. It's not clear who took the car.

A thief stole a Kia Optima in the 4500 block of N. 100th Street on June 16, police logs showed. They stole the car without the keys.

Catalytic Converters Stolen From Work Trucks

A thief took the catalytic converter from a company pickup truck in the 10800 block of W. Wisconsin Avenue on June 14, police logs showed. The truck was parked in a parking lot without video surveillance.

In a separate incident, someone stole the catalytic converter from a work van in the 7100 block of W. Garfield Avenue on June 16, police logs showed. The van was insured, but there were no witnesses or cameras nearby.

Police Cite Man For Junk Cars

Police gave a municipal citation to a Wauwatosa man who had two junked cars in his driveway in the 8100 block of Chestnut Street on June 10, police logs showed.
