'The Landing' Grand Opening is Thursday
An Irish theme is planned for the official welcome of the city's beer garden.
Thursday’s grand opening celebration of The Landing at Hoyt Park will have an Irish flavor, owing to this weekend’s ethnic festival in Milwaukee.
Wauwatosa’s beer garden will be open from 3 p.m. to 9 p.m. that day, and festivities include:
- A bagpiper from 3:30 p.m. to 4 p.m.
- A 4 p.m. welcome from dignitaries including Wauwatosa Mayor Kathy Ehley and Friends of Hoyt Park Pool President Heidi Janzen.
- Irish sustenance including Guiness and Smithwick’s ale and a sliced corned beef sandwich.
- Music by Sigmund Snopek beginning at 5 p.m.
