Bob Simi, Executive Director of the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center, released the following statement:
“The safety of patients, visitors, students, and employees has always been of the utmost importance to the Milwaukee Regional Medical Center and its member organizations.
Since Milwaukee Regional Medical Center (MRMC) member organizations purchased land from Milwaukee County in early 2020, some services will or have transitioned to new providers. On Thursday, April 1, 2021, the MRMC campus transitioned from having the Milwaukee County Sheriff's Office provide external protective services patrols to a dedicated unit of the Wauwatosa Police Department providing this support. To help ensure a seamless transition, the Department has undergone several months of training, campus-specific orientations, and campus tours with the Sheriff's Office. The Milwaukee County Sheriff’s Office will continue to provide protective services to the emergency departments as part of existing contracts.
MRMC and its member organizations thank the Milwaukee County Sheriff and Deputies for their years of dedicated service to patrolling campus, and look forward to a continued partnership."
Benefits include a $7,500 hiring bonus (a limited time initiative), a recruit school reimbursement of $5,000 for applicants that are hired and previously paid for their academy training (a limited time initiative), free health clinic services for you and your family, 80-200 hours of annual vacation, and retirement benefits.
